Goodstein delivers keynote address at Convocation

(Portland, Ore.)— Eban Goodstein, professor of economics, delivered the keynote address at Opening Convocation for the College of Arts & Sciences. Goodstein, the project director for Focus the Nation, challenged the class of 2011 to join the effort to find new solutions to the global warming dilemma. With less than three months to go before the national teach-in on January 31, 2008, Focus the Nation now has more than 1,000 members and has become the largest teach-in of its kind in U.S. history.
