Kathleensullivan Justice Anthony Kennedy Annual Lecture Series

The Justice Anthony Kennedy annual lecture series will lead off with a talk by Kathleen Sullivan, the former dean of Stanford Law School and a partner at the law firm of Quinn Emanuel. Dean Sullivan is one of the country’s leading scholars on the Supreme Court and is also a well respected oral advocate before the Court. Dean Sullivan will be speaking on campus in September, 2009. The lecture series is designed to promote discussion of cutting edge issues affecting the U.S. Supreme Court and the Constitution. The program was established with the approval of Justice Kennedy when he visited the law school in the Fall of 2008.

Lewis & Clark Law School Professor Joe Miller presented a panel on “Legal Doctrines That Affect the Value and Licensing of Patents” during the FTC’s series of public presentations on the evolving market for IP. Professor Miller writes and teaches in the field of patent law, one of our many classes in the field of IP.

Tiny Rosenblum Balancing Act

Lewis & Clark Law School hosts the annual Joyce Ann Harpole Awards Presentation on April 4. Awards are given to an attorney and a student who manage to balance the law with family and community life. This year the Honorable Ellen F. Rosenblum will be the guest speaker.
