Dennis-chang-thumb Dennis Chang Named Student Commencement Speaker

Fifteen years ago, Dennis Chang was graduating from MIT with a major in Chemical Engineering. His early academic experience led him to a very successful career in the high-tech industry. In 2006, Dennis decided to resign his position at Intel in order to be a stay-at-home dad for his son, Calvin. It was during this period of re-evaluation and self-assessment that teaching called his name. Dennis will address his fellow students at Commencement on June 7.

Robertbennett Alter Law School Commencement 2009

Commencement for the Law School will be held at Griswold Stadium at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 23, 2009. Graduates must be at Pamplin Sports Center at 9:30 a.m. A reception at the Law School follows commencement. This year’s speakers will be nationally known trial lawyer, Robert S. Bennett, and Alter Wiener. Bennett has been described as one of the 100 most influential attorneys in America and is the author of “In the Ring — The Trials of a Washington Attorney.” Alter Wiener is a Holocaust survivor who has shared his life story with over 450 audiences. He is the author of an autobiography, “From A Name to A Number”. The event will be streamed live. Watch this page for the link.

Commencement for the law school will be held at Griswold Stadium at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 24, 2008. A short reception for graduates and guests will be held on the Law School Campus immediately following commencement. Graduates must be at Pamplin Sports Center at 9:30 a.m. This year’s speaker will be Congressman John Lewis of Georgia. A reception at the law school follows commencement.
