Theatre Production, “The Blue Room”

Blueroom Small
5 through 14 March 2009

With deft insight and wit, “The Blue Room” is a brilliant meditation on men and women, sex and social class, lust and desire. In a contemporary reworking of Arthur Schnitzler’s La Ronde, Hare takes on the Freudian subject of projection and reinvents it in a bittersweet landscape that is both eternal and completely up-to-date. Its original production became a sensation in London and one of the most sought-after tickets of its Broadway season.

“The Blue Room” will perform for two weeks at the Fir Acres Theatre Main Stage, with nightly performances March 5-7 and 12-14 at 7:30 p.m, as well as a Saturday 2:30pm matinee performance on March 14. Please note that the March 7 performance is sold out.

Tickets are available at the Box Office M-F, 1-5pm, and one hour before performances: $5 Lewis & Clark Students; $7 Lewis & Clark alum/faculty/staff, non-Lewis & Clark students; $10 General Admission.
